>YTL Cement Scholarship Awards Ceremony: Celebrating Achievements and Fostering Growth

YTL Cement, through its CSR arm, BUILDS, recently hosted its inaugural YTL Cement Scholarship Awards Ceremony to welcome 17 new scholarship recipients of the YTL Cement Scholarship.
The recipients of the scholarship are Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 students who are pursuing engineering degree programmes in various universities in Malaysia, including Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
The scholarship programme is part of YTL Cement’s commitment to sustainability, particularly through the Building Capacity and the Community pillar. Initiated in 2007, the scholarship programme has awarded close to 100 scholarships, reflecting YTL Cement's dedication to knowledge transfer and talent development.
Tan Sri (Sir) Francis Yeoh, Executive Chairman of YTL Cement and Dato' Sri Michael Yeoh, Managing Director of YTL Cement were in attendance of the event and presented students with their YTL Cement Scholarship Certificate.
The event also featured a sharing session by two YTL Cement Scholarship alumni – Ir. Ts. Billy Low, General Manager of YTL Cement and Estina Yap, Assistant Manager of YTL Cement – who each shared with scholars their journey as scholarship recipients and how their careers have progressed in their time with the company.
