- YTL Cement bekerjasama dengan Global Environmental Centre (GEC) dan komuniti KRT Taman Chemor Idaman untuk melestarikan kawasan kejiranan Taman Chemor Idaman
- Program yang dianjurkan oleh YTL Cement bersama usaha kolaboratif ini turut merangkumi gotong-royong membersihkan sampah, kitar semula barangan dan sisa domestik, menanam pokok dan menghias fasiliti awam komuniti Taman Chemor Idaman.
CHEMOR, 22 Jun 2024 – BUILDS, bahagian tanggungjawab sosial korporat (CSR) YTL Cement, yang merupakan kumpulan pembekal bahan binaan terbesar di Malaysia bersama Global Environmental Centre (GEC), menganjurkan inisiatif kelestarian alam sekitar dengan menjayakan Program Kutip Sambil Riadah (KUDAH) bersempena dengan Hari Alam Sekitar Sedunia 2024 di Kebun Komuniti Taman Chemor Idaman, Perak. Program ini adalah usaha kolaboratif antara YTL Cement, GEC, dan Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) Taman Chemor Idaman serta disokong oleh Jabatan Alam Sekitar Negeri Perak. Program ini turut dihadiri oleh wakil-wakil agensi kerajaan yang lain termasuk Pejabat Perpaduan Negara Dan Integrasi Nasional Daerah Kinta, Majlis Perbandaran Ipoh dan Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran Perak.
Bertemakan ‘Tanah Kita, Masa Depan Kita’, tiga aspek global yang menjadi fokus utama Hari Alam Sekitar 2024 iaitu pemulihan tanah, penggurunan (desertifikasi) dan ketahanan kemarau dizahirkan oleh YTL Cement dan rakan kolaborasi program ini. Aktiviti utama pada hari ini ialah pelancaran Alamat Sungai KRT Taman Chemor Idaman. Ini merupakan usaha untuk mendidik dan meningkatkan kesedaran dalam menjaga sungai untuk jangka masa panjang. Selain itu, aktiviti yang menjadi sorotan adalah gotong-royong membersihkan sampah, kitar semula barangan dan sisa domestik, aktiviti menanam pokok serta menghias fasiliti awam komuniti Taman Chemor Idaman.
