>YTL Cement dan Jabatan Alam Sekitar Anjur Program Kudah Sempena Hari Alam Sekitar Sedunia 2022

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 Jun 2022 – YTL Cement bersama Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS) telah menganjurkan Program Kutip Sampah Sambil Riadah (Kudah) sempena Hari Alam Sekitar Sedunia 2022 di Chongkak Park & Resort, Hulu Langat, Selangor.
Program Kudah ini dianjurkan menerusi program tanggungjawab sosial korporat YTL Cement, iaitu BUILDS, dan inisiatif Rakan Alam Sekitar oleh JAS. Seramai 60 sukarelawan telah menjayakan aktiviti membersih dan memulih keindahan Sungai Chongkak dan berjaya mengumpul lebih dari 200kg sampah dan bahan kitar semula. Program ini turut dihadiri oleh wakil daripada Tourism Selangor.
Berikutan fenomena banjir pada bulan Disember yang lalu, kawasan Chongkak Park & Resort telah mengalami kemusnahan akibat limpahan air Sungai Chongkak. Setelah ditutup untuk kerja-kerja pemulihan, taman tersebut kini dibuka semula pada awal bulan Jun untuk kunjungan orang ramai.
“Kami berterima kasih kepada Jabatan Alam Sekitar kerana memberi peluang kepada YTL Cement dan BUILDS untuk bekerjasama dengan Rakan Alam Sekitar dalam menjayakan aktiviti pada hari ini. Kami berharap program pada hari ini dapat membantu pemuliharaan Chongkak Park & Resort dan mencantikkan lagi kawasan riadah yang begitu indah dan nyaman ini kepada orang awam,” kata Pn. Ong Ping Ping, Pengarah Komunikasi YTL Cement.
“Program ini berkesan untuk meningkatkan kesedaran orang ramai dan warga industri dalam mengekalkan keindahan persekitaran serta memanfaatkan usaha memelihara alam sekitar selaras dengan slogan – Pemuliharaan Alam Sekitar adalah Tanggung Jawab Bersama. Kami berterima kasih atas usaha YTL Cement dalam menjalankan program Kudah yang bermanfaat ini,” kata Dr. Norhazni binti Mat Sari, Timbalan Ketua Pengarah (Pembangunan) JAS.
